Hail and dent repair
This shop was called Empire State Hail Company before it was called anything else. Pulling dents without touching the paint is still the thing it does best.
Paintless dent repair
The paint never comes off.
A conventional dent repair sands the panel back, fills it, primes it, sprays it and blends it into the panels either side. Paintless dent repair does none of that. The technician gets in behind the panel with rods and picks and works the metal back to where it started, so the factory finish that came on the car from the plant is the finish that is still on it when you drive away.
- No filler and no repaint, so nothing to fade, flake or come back later
- Faster than a body and paint repair on the same panel, usually cheaper too
- The original paint stays, which matters when the car is sold or appraised
- No paint means no cure time, so most cars are not off the road for long
- Every paintless repair we do carries a lifetime warranty
How the work is judged
A dent is read in the reflection.
Dents are hard to see straight on and impossible to miss in a reflection. The technician works under a line board, watching a straight line run across the panel. Wherever the line bends, there is still metal out of place. It is finished when the line is straight, not when it looks alright from six feet away.
Hail
Hail damage, however much of it there is.
A hail car is not one dent, it is two hundred of them, and the ones on the roof are the ones you never see until the sun is at the right angle. It is slow, methodical work and it is exactly what this shop was set up to do.
- Roof, hood, trunk lid, fenders and doors, panel by panel
- We write the estimate the way the carriers want to see it
- Rental and claim handling talked through before you commit
“With over 400 dents from hail damage, I figured they would never be able to get them all out. But they did a beautiful job.”

Two things worth knowing
Insurance, and coming to you.
We handle the claim side
Empire is a preferred or approved vendor with the major carriers. Bring the claim number and we deal with the adjuster from there, including any supplement that comes up once the car is apart.
Mobile dent repair
If the car cannot come to Spencer Street, paintless dent repair can come to it. Fleets, dealer lots, and anyone who cannot be without the vehicle for a day.
Straight answer
When paintless is the wrong tool.
It is not the answer to everything, and we will tell you when it is not. Paintless dent repair needs the paint intact and the metal unstretched.
Cracked or chipped paint
If the finish is already broken, the panel has to be refinished anyway, so there is nothing to protect by going paintless.
Sharp creases and stretched metal
A deep crease has moved metal that will not simply go back. That is a body and paint repair, and we do those too.
Dents with no access behind
Some panels are braced or bonded where the tool cannot reach. Glue pulling covers a lot of them, but not all.
