Lumilor

It looks like paint in daylight because it is paint. Then you put current through it and the artwork lights up.

Certified Lumilor lab and training center

Not a sticker. Not a light bar. Paint.

Lumilor is an electroluminescent coating. It sprays through a gun in layers, the same way any custom finish does, and it can be masked and airbrushed and cleared like any other paint. The difference is the last step: it gets wired, and when you feed it power the coating itself gives off light. Switch it off and it goes back to being a painted panel.

Empire is one of a small number of shops certified to apply it. Dave runs a certified Lumilor lab and a training center for other applicators.

01

You design it

A badge, a crest, lettering, a portrait, a stripe down a tank, or a whole panel. If it can be masked or airbrushed, it can glow.

02

It gets sprayed and wired

Layers go down over a prepared surface, then the circuit and driver are built in and hidden where nobody will find them.

03

You get a switch

On, off, and depending on the build, sequenced or sound reactive. During the day it just looks like very good paint.

Off, and on.

Same panel, same bike, same paint. Two photographs.

On

What it goes on

Anything you can spray.

Motorcycles are where most people see it first, but the coating does not care what is under it as long as the surface is prepared properly.

For other shops

Training for other shops.

Empire is a certified Lumilor training center, so if you are a shop that wants to offer it rather than a customer that wants it on a bike, that conversation happens here too. Trained by people who spray it every week, on real panels, not on a slide deck. Material comes direct from Lumilor these days, and we will point you at the right kit before you order it.
