Airbrush and graphics
Portraits, lettering, flames, tribute work. Laid into the paint and cleared over, so it is part of the finish rather than something stuck on top of it.

Empire started as a dent company and kept adding trades rather than farming them out. This is the whole list, and all of it happens at Spencer Street.
Collision
Anything from a parking lot scrape to a real hit. Panels straightened or replaced, structure put back where it belongs, and color matched to what is already on the car so the repair does not announce itself in daylight.
Paintless dent repair
The trade the shop was built on, back when it was Empire State Hail Company. The dent is massaged out from behind the panel with rods and picks. No filler, no primer, no repaint, and the factory paint that came on the car stays on the car.
Wheels
Curb rash on the lip, scuffed faces, worn clear coat and peeling finish. The wheel is repaired and refinished rather than replaced, which on most cars is a fraction of the price of a new set.
Plastic and paint
A cracked or gouged bumper cover is usually repairable, and a repair beats the price of a new cover almost every time. The blend is done so the corner of the fender does not give the job away.
Cracks, tears, gouges and scuffs in plastic covers are welded and filled properly before any color goes near them.
Modern metallics move under different light. Color is matched to the panels either side, then blended so the edges disappear.
Sensors, brackets, grilles and clips get refitted the way they came off, not held in with a couple of screws and hope.
Finish
A full detail department for cars and motorcycles, which is unusual in a body shop. Everything here is done in house, and it is the same crew that finishes the custom work.
If you are selling a car, a correction and a coating is usually the cheapest thing you can do to the price. Ask when you book.
The fun end
Cars, trucks, motorcycles, helmets, guitars and the occasional thing nobody expected. Airbrush and graphics, candy and pearl, full color changes, and restorations that run from a stripped shell back through to finished paint.

Portraits, lettering, flames, tribute work. Laid into the paint and cleared over, so it is part of the finish rather than something stuck on top of it.

Long jobs done properly. Metal work first, then block and prime, then color. You get told where it actually is, not where it should be by now.

Tanks, fenders, fairings and full bikes. Custom paint, Lumilor, Cosmichrome and detailing, plus Viking bags if you need the luggage to match.
PeelClear
A waterborne peelable coating, sprayed on through the gun like any other finish and removed by hand in sheets when you are done with it. Nothing is cut, nothing is stuck on, and the factory paint underneath is exactly as it was.
Three things nobody else near here does
All three are certified finishes, and Empire holds the certification for each. They have their own pages because photographs explain them better than words do.
Protection and accessories
Worth doing in Central New York, where the salt does more damage over ten winters than anything that happens on the road.
Empire is a WeatherTech Diamond Dealer. Floor liners, mud flaps and cargo trays, ordered and fitted here.
Underglow, rock lights, accent kits and pod lights, wired in properly rather than run through a fuse tap and left dangling.
Empire is a Custom Offsets vendor, so a wheel and tire package can be ordered, fitted and, if you want it, refinished here in one go.
Empire is a Viking distributor. Saddlebags, tail bags and luggage, and we can paint them to match the bike.
Decals, stickers, banners, shirts and can cozies. Handy when the vehicle is a work truck and the truck is the advertising.
On new paint or old, on cars and on bikes. Easier to wash, better gloss, and one less thing eating your Saturday.
